The AGORA collective: Creating a collective voice for crack users

By AGORA
English

The AGORA collective aims to build on the power to act together. This is a community-based approach to health. It aims to establish dialogue and find concrete solutions with the people concerned — residents and users, public authorities, and medical and social workers. More than any other strategy, it also encourages coherent action and cooperation between the various actors involved. In just over a year, some fifty people have taken part in this collective, including some thirty active users from the scene. The text in this article is based on meetings organized as part of AGORA between November 2021 and April 2023. Verbatim statements from users participating in the various workshops are reproduced throughout the text.
