Take care of the social bond in times of Covid-19
By Delphine Sence
English
This article questions the quality of the social bond in times of Covid-19 and lockdown, in particular, in a place of care which concerns the addiction clinic. The author, a social worker at Marmottan Hospital, shares her experience and questions: could lockdown lead to social isolation and weaken some of the patients, especially the most vulnerable? How will these patients be supported at this particular moment, for the integration process, in their daily life and in their place of life? How do we preserve the physical, social bond with patients who use psychoactive products and suffer from addiction? How is maintaining this physical, social link necessary and therapeutic for some of them?
