Health, spirituality and addiction

Switzerland has been traumatized by the open scenes of drugs in its cities. The result has been the edification of coordinated interdisciplinary networks on the bio-psycho-social model, not excluding spirituality. The clinical neurosciences have played an important role in understanding the underlying mechanisms of addiction. This has allowed researchers to examine the existence of an existential vacuum in the life of patients and a possible answer to it in the form of spiritual care in hospitals.
