Hypnosis and addictions

By Dina Roberts
English

Patients receiving hypnosis sessions in the management of their addiction report many benefits. This sensory and emotional experience, co-created with the therapist, is experienced as a pleasant moment of sharing, with a positive impact on the therapeutic relationship. Patients report an improvement in their quality of life, with a feeling of well-being, a thymic improvement, a better sleep and a reduction of their anxiety. They also describe the impact of hypnosis on their addictive practice : some manage to redirect their attention during cravings, change their relationship with the product, and many even replace the effect of a product with a session of self-hypnosis.
