Psychodynamic approach to sexual addiction

This article presents sexual addictions from a model of psychodynamic understanding. For specific clinical problems, it is appropriate to formulate metapsychological hypotheses which help us to understand better certain defensive solutions. This approach proposes to show how these individual psychotherapies are beneficial when combined with institutional or group therapeutic devices.
